Sētu is an amazing place! Not just an inn, a yoga shala, or destination -it is a community. Emily and Harmeet love life, and love sharing with people that cross their path. I have been practicing Mysore with Emily now for 4 month and her guidance has been gentle and supportive. I haven’t stayed in the rooms, but they are beautiful, well curated with lots of art and comfortable amenities. If you get the chance to enjoy their home cooking don’t pass it up. Beautiful and delicious! Visit Harmeet and Emily (And Jellybean!!) for a wonderful experience of India, Vermont, and love.
Emily and Harmeet are lovely people, very warm and welcoming. The accommodations are very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The outdoor setting is beautiful and peaceful. The bed, bedding, and towels were luxurious. The cooking class was fun and informative, and the meal we produced was delicious. The combination of evening gong meditation, hot tub, and a massage followed the next morning with ashtanga yoga, a delectable Indian breakfast and another dip in the hot tub was sublime. Though I was there for less than 24 hours I felt like I’d been on an entire weekend retreat.
Everything at this inn makes you feel at home
The hot tub was wonderful by day, and even more so under the starlit sky at night. We did a cooking class and really enjoyed learning about Indian cooking while preparing a meal with Emily (it was delicious too). The gong meditation is an other-worldly experience that is truly special.
This place is a dream. Visiting from NYC, it was everything I needed — calm, clean, thought provoking, and beautiful. It’s a thoughtfully designed space — in particular, the shala is an inspiring room that overlooks the woods, a pond, and rolling hills.
So much enlightenment, so close to home. We spent 3 nights at Setu before New Year’s Eve. We had the opportunity to practice with local Ashtanga practitioners, receive instruction from amazing visiting teachers, and participate in music and meditation programs. The property is beautiful, serene, and the accommodations are that of a quaint forest villa with many good modern touches. Harmeet and Emily are amazing hosts and knowledgeable and well versed in what it takes to help you find unity and relaxation on your getaway. Our room was beautiful and offered views of gorgeous moutains (WIFI was fast, too!) - it was great to dedicate a few days to Yoga practice and introspection. We begin the new year on another level :) - Thanks, Setu.
